INDIANAPOLIS—Carrier is launching a new program to help people protect their indoor air from the health risks of wildfire smoke. As air quality across North America deteriorates, the company is highlighting the dangers of airborne particles that can worsen respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Carrier advises homeowners and building managers to take proactive steps, such as using better HVAC filters, sealing buildings to prevent smoke from getting inside, and running portable air purifiers.
“Indoor air quality is a critical component of community health, especially during wildfire events,” said Nick Arch, Carrier’s Vice President and General Manager of Residential Solutions. “Our technologies are designed to provide effective protection and peace of mind.”
As a show of its commitment, Carrier recently donated $2.5 million worth of air purifiers to schools and frontline workers in Los Angeles.
