Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted the bond between “ancient civilisations” in a powerful message of support to India after a terror attack in Delhi. Addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Netanyahu mourned the eight lives lost in the blast.
“India and Israel are ancient civilisations that stand on eternal truths,” Netanyahu stated. He said this shared heritage provides an “unyielding spirit” that “terror” can never “shake.”
The Israeli leader, on behalf of himself and his wife Sara, offered “deepest condolences” to the families of the victims. He provided a firm assurance: “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength in this time.”
Netanyahu’s message concluded with a prediction of victory over extremism. “The light of our nations will outshine the darkness of our enemies,” he affirmed.
The blast, which occurred on Monday near the Red Fort, is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The agency has registered a case and is probing the involvement of a Jaish-e-Mohammad module in the deadly car explosion.
