The latest Benoit Blanc mystery will take the whodunit genre to a sacred space. The first teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery reveals that the film’s central crime takes place inside a church, adding a layer of sacrilege and intrigue to the proceedings.
Daniel Craig returns as the brilliant detective, tasked with solving the “impossible” murder of a priest (Josh Brolin) during a service. The teaser establishes a tense and dramatic atmosphere, where faith and foul play collide, and a killer hides among the faithful.
The film is packed with a star-studded cast of suspects, including Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, and Jeremy Renner. This installment also features a visual update for Blanc, who now has longer hair and a formal suit, perhaps reflecting the solemnity of the case.
