Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto engaged in a discussion aimed at enhancing the cooperation between Türkiye and Indonesia. During a recent phone call, the two leaders explored avenues to bolster their bilateral relations, focusing on trade and the defence industry, as well as sharing perspectives on regional and global issues.
President Erdoğan underscored the significance of continued collaboration on international platforms, suggesting that closer coordination could yield mutual benefits for both nations. He expressed Türkiye’s commitment to advancing partnerships in economic and defence sectors, emphasizing the potential for growth in these areas.
The conversation is part of ongoing efforts by Türkiye and Indonesia to strengthen their political, economic, and defence ties. Both countries are keen on increasing their bilateral trade, which is a key component of their strategic relationship.
Additionally, during the call, President Erdoğan extended an invitation to President Prabowo to attend the COP31 Leaders Summit, scheduled to be held in Antalya, Türkiye. This summit represents another opportunity for the two countries to engage on critical global environmental issues.
